Internship Description
- Providing assistance in Cutting, machining, grinding and preparing metal test specimens (i.e. using machining, cutting and grinding equipment)
- Chemical etching and photography of metal test specimens
- Performing mechanical and metallurgical testing under supervision
- Working in a chemical and metallurgical testing laboratory
- Maintaining good laboratory housekeeping and practice
- Maintaining test records, worksheets
- Typing results and reports
- Understanding and following relevant Australian standards, procedures, etc
