Internship Description
Assist the Laboratory Manager including but not limited to the following:
- Sample preparation Use of sterile utensils and adding to a bag.
- Pour pathogens samples and add nutrient broths using hand and equipment
- General food testing involves spread plates and pour plates, making serial dilutions and learning the incubation conditions of various tests
- Running instruments like VIDAS for pathogen detections
- Media preparation for recipes, glassware cleaning, running dishwashers and autoclaves
- Safety training to prepare equipment and procedures correctly
