Internship Description
- Assist in the operation and integrity of the departmental accounts payable system and ensure accounts payable functions are delivered effectively and efficiently for clients
- Contribute to the preparation and timely payment of accounts by undertaking manual and system processing of claims and payments of goods and services received, investigating and taking corrective action on any discrepancies, and ensuring that all relevant data is correctly entered into the system
- Assist in ensuring all goods and services ordered are received and the authority used for the purchase complies with government legislation and local policies before processing payments of accounts
- Answer queries and provide advice to clients and vendors
- Provide a timely and accurate front-line service to customers while demonstrating respect, consistency, and courtesy
- Check invoice/adjustment requests for completeness and generate invoices/adjustment notes accurately and in a timely manner and in accordance with operational policy and procedure
